10 Most Famous Ships It doesn't explain what I've always wondered about the Bismarck. If the guns were as big as steers and the shells were as big as trees, how did they get the shells in the guns?
I think more people have heard of the USS Missouri or Arizona than the Dreadnaught. How about the Lusitania? Bonhomme Richard? USS Hornet? USS Indianapolis? The submarine USS Nautilus?

BTW, I built a model of the Bismark.
Yeah, the phrase was new to me, but my first thought was of bore/caliber...lotta trees with trunks of smaller circumference than the heftier cattle.
