I have never seen this movie, but remember my mother speaking about it. Her maiden name was Sullivan and she was the youngest in a family of six with three brothers. For some reason I thought it about the Sullivans fighting in WWII, but didn't see anything in the trailer.
I saw an interview with the only two children of the next Sullivan generation (I don't know whether they were chdren born before the war or were children of another sibling), but they said they could never understand why they had no cousins and so few relatives when there had been so many brothers. I do know that because of the Sullivans, the Defense Department usually doesn't permit siblings to serve together.

There's a model kit of the USS The Sullivans but I've never bought it because of that sappy movie.
My unit in Nam had twins serving together, but during their final month they couldn't be off base together.
