Janet Jackson but not Connie Francis?

Not in any world I want to live in.

Jeff

PS - There are 2-3 I've never heard of.

There are a heck of a lot more than 2-3 that I've never heard of. Does this mean I have deposed Jeff as the King of Geezerdom?

Impossible!

Roxy Music, The Replacements, Brian Eno, The Smiths, Joy Division and Television should all be in. But Cher, Foreigner, Chicago and Huey Lewis?-popular but bland and too MOR.
Connie Francis? About as Rock n Roll as Dinah Shore.
I've heard of all of these and I'm long past 60.

I thought the Hall of Fame was meant to honor long term stars? No?

I had to look up Can, which was apparently a German "alternative" music group from 1968-1979. Yeah, they belong.

/end sarcasm

Jeff-The Hall of Fame was supposed to honor artists who were influencel and/or produced a quality body of work. Can, not to my taste, but they were a influence on a number of bands and were a prog rock not an alternative band. If they honored long term stars they would be nominating a lot of crap like Motley Crue, Poison and Styk.

I've heard of less than half of them, and some of the ones I do know are a joke. Witness Janet Jackson.
