And if you hate Led Zeppelin...?
Jeff
It was, and it remains, the most ponderously overrated rock band the world has ever seen, outclassing even the Doors thus (or, I suppose, in some naive quarters, Queen and KISS and The Eagles and U2 as well). Good hair care, though.
The other day I was driving my 14-year-old twins somewhere and "Stairway to Heaven" came on the radio (of course, since I'm an old woman, I still listen to the radio). "Listen girls," I told them, turning the volume way, way up, "it's one of the all-time great rock songs."
Both girls were unimpressed. One said it was "too slow--takes too long to get going," the other just slipped her earbuds back on and listened to her own music on her phone.
After "Stairway," the next song was The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes," which was rated "Better--it starts out slowly, but doesn't take as long to get to the rock-out."
Your daughters have taste, Deb.
