My addition would have been the autobiography of Rob Petrie, which was a running theme on 'The Dick Van Dyke Show'. With the final episode, the book got published and Alan Brady bought the rights so that he could turn it into a sitcom for himself one day.

Actually Toby the book didn't get published. Alan Brady bought the rights from Rob because he felt he knew better than the editors and publishers who rejected the book.
