I am truly sorry to hear that. Such a huge influence on me. And such a wonderful writer.

Just saw that. Bummer. Still, 91 is a pretty good run.

Although not among my most favorite SF authors, I always enjoyed most of his writing (particularly The Martian Chronicles) and liked his personality. He was always just himself and never really fit in to any of the group "in-crowds", whether SF, political, literary, movie, tv, etc., although he was intimately involved with all of them. That was what was most endearing to me.

Bradbury was a beloved author, and a unique voice. From my teen years when I really gained a fascination with reading, he was among three or four favorite authors - Martian Chronicles was a favorite and the book fascinated me enough to read it over again.

This is a sad event, his passing.
