Forget college, just talk to employers hiring high school graduates for even "low skill" jobs. This has been getting worse for a loooooooooooong time. I pity the average public school student today and, to a large extent, the teachers, but few others involved (or who should be involved) in the public education system today.
The English and Math departments at my College would be cut in half if the remedial students stopped attending. And, I can't believe the percentage of students who can't type!
