Not so salacious as the lede would suggest. As someone who's done this kind of work, describing DOONESBURY as well as reading the dialog was the most fun, trying to decide what was the most useful sets of ad copy to read and reading the chess column before I knew all the shorthand was the least.
This, however, from the PLAYBOY reporter in re: the models, is hilarious:
"Each one is different," she said. "Each one is like a little snowflake."
