In my younger days, my mom always wanted me to meet and marry Roger Ebert. Even today (when I've been married over 20 years), my mom still laughs and reminds me that "Roger Ebert waited until you got married before he got married."
My husband and I are currently paying almost $100 a month for a storage unit, at least three-fourths of which is taken up with our books. So if I'd married Roger, my life probably wouldn't have been much different!

That's a great piece, Bill. He sounds like he has more than a little in common with our friend Andy.

Indeed. You gotta love a guy like that.
Ebert is known for reviewing movies, but he's an excellent writer on any subject. I greatly admire his work.

I pay for two big storage units, and I have a lot of storage at home. It's sad.
Great posting on Ebert, Bill! He captures the joy of reading (and collecting) perfectly.
