Leslie Nielsen's Greatest Fear

Exclusive: Leslie Nielsen and Director Bo Zenga on ‘Stan Helsing' - FEARNet: "Nielsen: I really don't like crocodiles. I've been taking a crocodile course, learning how to talk to a crocodile. It's not easy. You can't see their lips move. [Laughs.]

Zenga: You live in Florida, have you ever encountered a crocodile?

Nielsen: Yeah. That's a real fear. I've met a lot of them now, coming out of the woodwork!"

Nielsen and Bo Zenga are working on Zeng's new movie, Stan Helsing. You can guess from that and the poster what it's about. A classic in the making, I'm sure.

The review I read was pretty horrible and particularly singled out the sight of Nielsen in a dress as a BAD THING.

PS - And don't call him Shirley.

Your piece led me to believe that we wouldn't be subjected to this movie for some time. Imagine my surprise when I read the opening of the review for this classic in today's New York Times: "Does my vagina make me look fat?" asks Mia (Desi Lydic), a lubricious massage therapist and erstwhile exotic dancer. If that preview of the script isn't enough to dissuade you, consider the warning disclosure: Vampire strippers, a crotch-sniffing rat and a monster mash-up of "Y.M.C.A." Why oh why can't Quentin Tarantino find it in his heart to rescue Leslie Nielsen from this fate?

That sounds even worse than I thought it would be.
