My grandma smoked Pall Mall and died of cancer. Lee Marvin sure made smoking look cool though... of course Marvin could probably make slipping on ice look cool.
This put me in the mind of the MAD comics house ads warning readers to smoke only EC's pride and joy...posted probably elsewhere, but this is how I found it again:

I never could figure it out, either. That ad kinda makes me want a smoke, though.

I always said Paul Maul. But mild? When I smoked I'd rather have had a roll of skunk cabbage than a Pall Mall.
