The fine folks at Crimewav.com asked me to read the Edgar-nominated story, "Cranked," for a podcast. So I did, after overcoming my usual reluctance to read aloud. The podcast will be posted on Sunday, so I thought I'd warn you.
Very cool, Mr. Crider. CrimeWaV is a blast. My story was read by a few different folks, so I didn't have to deal with the anxiety of having to listen to my own voice or how I would come off on the recording. Congrats though! I look forward to listening to it!

Now you tell me. I should've thought of having someone else read it!
You're not going to use that funny Texas drawl that's such a hit at parties, are you?
As if I have a choice.
What Texas drawl? It's everybody else who can't talk.
At least you're just signing on for a short story. Melton did a whole novel for podcast. (don't spoil it, I just got my copy the other day)
Have fun, Bill.
Looking forward to it.
Look forward to it.
Considering the story, I hope there are lots of good sound effects!
