Sorry, but for my money, they missed the most electrifying "beach scene" of all: the fade out from PLANET OF THE APES. Now THAT'S a beach scene!
The Longest Day. Gidget, Sands of Iwo Jima, Swiss Family Robinson, The Sea Wife, Thunderball, etc., etc, etc.
