Above my head on the left of the door frame, you can see about half a black loop. That's part of a door knocker that's still on my parents' (now long vacant) house the last time I looked.
I loved first days especially when it was my kids' first days. Miss photographing my daughter in front of the day each first day to see how she grew since the last year. She's a teacher now and won't let me do it.

The bare feet were a nice touch and I had to look close to see if that was a fishing pole running across your back or part of the door. Too funny!
Kind of hard to believe we were allowed to go to school barefoot in those days.

You look a lot more cheerful than I did in the same situation.
That's because this was taken before I left the house. Things changed after that.
Can this be how Cliffie Claven got his start?
Looks like someone off to his first day of a lot off beatings (that the inspiration for Sheriff Dan?)
Dem were the days when only rich kids had school shoes.nnywflmb
