Happy birthday to young Ms. Crider! The most amusing off-point fact about that photo is that I have (through inheritance) either the same model or a near-twin of the drab shirt (from Penney's back before JC was in and 's was out). Othewise, what self-respecting apartment wouldn't have book walls, for Angela's teethin delectation only scan months later?

Them things are small, but they sure are fun!
Very sweet. And I love how a bunch of paperbacks made it into the shot.
Yeah. Judy's the one who was reading Mandingo. Trust me.
Is there a spot in the house where a bunch of books wouldn't serve as background?
In those days, in that small apartment, no. Now, many years later, you might find a spot in the guest bedroom.
Angela was a lovely baby and she's a lovely woman. Tell her her uncle joe says Happy Birthday. Joe

The blogs' second-greatest dilemma...those who spell while still asleep. Otherwise, teething (or at least teethin'), scant.
May the returns be happy and many for Angela.
Happy Birthday, Angela!
See you at Jazzfest (?)

Adorable, then and now. I hope she has a fine day and many more to come.
Is Judy the one who was reading FIELDING'S FOLLY and THE EXPLORER by Frances Parkinson Keyes?
Cause I'm guessing you were the one reading Cain and Hamilton and MacDonald and (is that TANNER'S TIGER by Lawrence Block?)...
Judy was a big Keyes fan in those days. And of course those others were mine. That's probably Tanner's Tiger, all right.
There's also a book by Dashiell Hammett. Is it THE CONTINENTAL OP? Do you still have that copy?
And happy birthday, too!
I still have them all.
You know, I hadn't blown the photo up till everyone started quizzing you about the books on the shelves...that's a Great expression on her face.
