Watching Little Richard on those TV commercials these days, it's hard not to think he's become something of a parody of himself. But those of us who were around to hear the sheer power of "Tutti-Frutti" blaring out of a car radio in 1955 were changed forever.

Damn tootin. In some ways his singles were the best of all the rockers. Not his career. But man those early singles were fantastic. I was surprised when Bush put him in charge of Homeland Security but then he was no worse than Ridge or Chertoff. And he wore better cloyhes.
