The Most Dangerous Game

Maybe in a couple of years the hunters will get real bullets.

Sci Fi show gives contestants Run for Money | Oddly Enough | Reuters: "LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Sci Fi Channel has ordered a pilot for 'Run for Money,' a reality competition that pits contestants against one another in the quest for cash prizes as they are stalked by 'hunters.'"

Bill, I think you've forgotten, and good for you, that ABC and Fox have already had "game" shows that have been all about torturing contestants while they've been bound in chairs, THE CHAIR and THE CHAMBER respectively (even FEAR FACTOR was a bit less agressively sadistic). Oddly enough, neither managed to Catch On. Life not quite yet a Richard Condon/Robert Sheckley story, at least as far as formal mass entertainment goes...aside from American football and boxing...

What's so real about reality shows anyway? For my money, I'd name 'em stupidity shows.

Outdoor Life Network in Canada has a show called Mantracker in which two people on foot have 36 hours to travel 30-40 Kilometers (roughly 20-25 miles) over rough terrain while being chased by the mounted Mantracker - Terry Grant, an RCMP trained member of the Alberta Foothills Search and Rescue Team - and a local expert. It's actually a pretty good show.
