Happy Birthday, Esther Williams and Connie Stevens

I couldn't let the day pass without wishing a happy birthday to these two.

Glad there were no before and after pics for these two. How did Esther swim so well with her head out of the water?

Wasn't Kookie's birthday last week? Too bad he and Connie didn't have the same birthday.

Hubba, hubba!

There are some recent photos of both on the 'Net, but I figured I'd rather have pictures of them the way I remember them. Hubba, hubba, indeed.

Wow, a nip shot of Connie! Is this the harbinger of a bold new direction for BCPCM? One can but hope. I mean, doesn't Marilyn Chambers have a birthday coming up?

mybillcrider said...

That nip shot is very tastefully done. Why I, myself, never even noticed it.

Cap'n Bob said...

Hahahahahahaha! Suuuure, Bill.

mybillcrider said...

Trust me.

Brent McKee said...

Oddly enough Bill, I believe you. Her skin tone is close enough to the shade of her nipple that it's nearly impossible to pick up on. Now if you had run the Lucille Ball topless shot on her birthday I'd be more suspicious.

As I was about to say before I screwed up the comment, thanks for the defense, Brent, and you're absolutely correct. That's why I never noticed the nip. And I wonder who'd run a nude photo of Lucy. Surely nobody who'd comment on this tasteful blog would do a thing like that.

I never noticed it either.

So that's two of us.

Bill, if you need somebody to screen future photos for nip slips, I'm willing, and if I'm not available, I'll bet Cap'n Bob will volunteer. Yowzuh! By coincidence, I recently watched Robert Aldrich's GRISSOM GANG again; Connie has several good scenes with Robert Lansing and Tony Musante as Tony's dim-bulb moll.

mybillcrider said...

I'm still doing the screening. Is THE GRISSOM GANG based on NO ORCHIDS FOR MISS BLANDISH? I regret to say I've never seen it.

There's a nude photo of Lucille Ball?

Yup, THE GRISSOM GANG is based on NO ORCHIDS. Tommy-guns galore, and not a dull or wasted moment in the movie. I imagine the DVD from MGM is still available.

16 comments? There must be a lot of us guys of a certain age who still remember Connie fondly from HAWAIIAN EYE and "Sixteen Reasons."

mybillcrider said...

Well, half the comments are mine. I need to go listen to "Sixteen Reasons" now.

I like Esther Williams very much because of her beautiness and second and not first, because she swims o good in all her movies.

Her best picture and movie clip when she wore the famous white two pieces in the movie with Mickey Rooney. The impact was greater than those of Ursula Anders in Dr. No movie.
