This is a response to a comment below, asking if Frank Frazetta's photo was used on any of the covers in the Coxeman series, and, if so, which ones.
I have to confess I'd never heard this story before. I'll bet Lynn Monroe would know. Anybody else?

Thanks for posting that inquiry re: Frank Frazetta for me on your blog site, Bill! I appreciate it! My name is actually, ~Dave Puckett, and I have a couple of Blogger's; the one I use for my occasional rants is called, "Elmo's Junction".
Thre was and i've seen it but, for the life of me I can't remember which one it was.
Bill in Mpls.
I have a bookstore near my place called Great Books in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. The guy who runs it has a vast knowledge of old hard-boiled and sci-fi books. If you have a chace I highly recommend looking him up on abebooks.com or calling his store. Lot's of great rare stuff.
Here's the Frazette info.
There are actually two books that Frank appears on. They are both Man From
S.T.U.D. books and they are:
Paul, F. W.
THE PLANNED PARENTHOOD CAPER: MAN FROM S.T.U.D. #7
Lancer 74-531, 1969. Paperback. First Edition:Paperback Original. Photo
cover features Frank Frazetta, the artist, as the male model; verified by
Frank.
Paul, F. W.
THE LAY OF THE LAND: THE MAN FROM S.T.U.D. #8
Lancer 74-553, 1969. Paperback. First Edition:Paperback Original. Photo
cover features Frank Frazetta, the artist, as the male model; verified by
Frank.
The eighth Man From Stud is the more difficult of the two and neither is
easy. It is a very obscure men's series that was not very successful.
Great info. Thanks for posting it. I'm sure F. W. Paul has to be Paul W. Fairman, whose work I used to read in AMAZING and FANTASTIC and who later because editor of one or both of them.
My thanks for the information regarding which of the Coxemen series had the Frazetta photo covers! BTW, who posed for the character on the other covers? (The Author?)
