Unfortunately, we have to follow a link to the actual study. But based on the chart shown, there seems to be essentially no relationship between how much you are paid and whether you think your job is meaningful. Which sorta depresses me.
Not me. Money means nothing compared to Happiness. I work for a Charity taking elderly & disabled people to Medical Appointments, a job which has the unique appeal of helping people without getting too complicated. The only better, more meaningful job I can think of would be Editor-in-chief of Bill Crider's Pop Culture Magazine.
It's a good job, all right, and the pay and benefits are great.
I looked at the bottom of the list to find something I'd done in my long and checkered life. There it was, third from last.
