"I don't know who invented the printed word."

Did he actually mean that? I'm sure he's heard of Gutenberg.

The printed word and the printing press aren't the same, Deb. There were pages being made by wood block processes and engraved plates - even stone tablets - before anyone designed moveable tyoe and a printing press.

As for the video, it is no surprise that I heartily agree, I don't much like e-books either.

I'm all in favor of ebooks. I have an allergy to paper dust, and anything that keeps me out of the hospital from just reading an old book is fine by me. I have 4500+ (mostly old) printed books, and have to keep most of them in boxes wrapped in plastic bags in order to minimize the danger.

Richard--I stand corrected!
