Above my head on the left of the door frame, you can see about half a black loop. That's part of a door knocker that's still on my parents' (now long vacant) house the last time I looked.
The bare feet were a nice touch and I had to look close to see if that was a fishing pole running across your back or part of the door. Too funny!
Kind of hard to believe we were allowed to go to school barefoot in those days.
I loved first days especially when it was my kids' first days. Miss photographing my daughter in front of the day each first day to see how she grew since the last year. She's a teacher now and won't let me do it.
You look a lot more cheerful than I did in the same situation.
That's because this was taken before I left the house. Things changed after that.
