Chemo, Round 3

By the time you read this, I'll be at M.D. Anderson.  After seeing the oncologist, I'll be hooked up to toxic chemicals that are supposed to do me good.  Or I will if I get a good report on the blood work from yesterday.  There's no guarantee of that, so I'll just have to wait and see.  I'll update tomorrow.

Just be very, very careful with all the toxic water in Houston after Harvey.

Good luck, today.

While you're suffering Round 3, I'm offering up a specific Prayer 3 for you. I hope someone takes you there and brings you home. You will be in my thoughts as well.

I hope things work out well for you today, Bill. Although I have to say, I didn't realize your circulatory system had blood. I thought it was all Dr. Pepper.

Indeed, Bill...resist any temptation to drink ditchwater in Houston...though I gather chemo can leave one feeling as if one had ingested some...good luck all 'round.

ADVICE FROM MY YEARS TRANSPORTING CANCER PATIENTS
(Some things are better to learn 2nd-hand!)

If you have bad side-effects from the chemo tell your doctor. Don't wait till your next scheduled visit. If he doesn't seem to pay attention or seeks to minimize them, grab him by the lapels and shake him.

You ain't gonna get better if you can't eat & sleep.
