The Lottery, The Minister's Black Veil, Billy Budd (more of a novella, perhaps), The Tell-Tale Heart, Daisy Miller, To Build A Fire, A Clean Well-Lighted Place, Bernice Bobs Her Hair, A Good Man Is Hard to Find, The Swimmer. These are the ones that seem to be anthologized the most--in my memory at least.

By filtering out so much, using such a narrow base, the list seems skewed.
Seems overloaded with New Yorker writers.
