Wow! That brings back memories from the start. The Metropole was a jazz club until 1965, when it turned into the strip club I remember. It was on Seventh Avenue and 48th Street.
Ah yes, I spent many a day in Washington Square Park (pictures 4 and 5), especially at the start of the 1970s. I worked on Fifth Avenue and Twelfth Street, and often walked down there for lunch (the 8th Street Deli) or to browse the (sadly lamented) 8th Street Bookstore.
Damn, I even remember that Nedick's that used to be on the corner of Macy's. I had many an orange drink there.
And the Waverly! We went to the movies there several times. It was on Sixth Avenue near West 3rd Street.
