I'm Sure You'll All Agree

The Worst Christmas Songs of All Time

I like Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer, and too bad on the haters.

I do agree on the odious Wonderful Christmastime (did you know there is a remake, which is equally as bad?). And Christmas Shoes? Ugh.

I also can't stomach Have a Holly, Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives.

I do like Mamacita, Donde Esta Santa Claus? by Augie Rios. A classic. And the original Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt. Not EVER the hideous remake by Madonna (or the Ariana Grande version).

I agree about the Augie Rios number. Great stuff. And of course I love "Grandma Got Run Over . . . ."

Never been too crazy about the one done by Jose Feliciano-can't remember it's spelling.

Several of these are bad not because of the song but because of the person singing it. As for "Wonderful Christmastime", I love it. It ranks right up there with Elton John's "Step into Christmas" and the Carpenters' "Merry Christmas, Darling" as Christmas classics of "our era".

Note to Paul: Christmastime is not a word.

Steve--That'd be "Felice Navidad," I believe.

It's hard to argue that any of those are not being worthy of the honor being bestowed upon them. My order would be different, but if I never hear any of those songs again, I will be a happy person.

Perhaps the list refers to worst versions of these songs rather than the songs themselves. O Holy Night is one of my favorites but this one by Tiny Tim is an abomination.

And any list that ignores The Twelve Days of Christmas by anyone is suspect.

For the José Feliciano, it reminds me of a band with Sting - so "Feliz Navidad, is...
...
...

'POLICE NAVIDAD'.

You are welome.
