I absolutely love this novel about a motley group of travelers and locals holed up at a Pennsylvania roadside inn during a snowstorm.
A (sadly) almost forgotten writer: few people are aware that he is responsible for what we think of as the "New Yorker" short story. He published over 200 short stories in the magazine over the course of almost 50 years.
O'Hara finally gets a long overdue collection of stories from Library of America next month.
