As someone who has seen most of them - 76, I believe - I sure don't agree with all of them, though it is a pretty safe list. But FORREST GUMP at #34? One of the "greatest achievements in directing" in history? Nuh uh. It wouldn't make my top 100, or top 500 for that matter. Cut at least half an hour. SOUND OF MUSIC? There are just so many better choices left out compared with some of these.
Not a big fan of either of the movies directed by Victor Fleming, and I didn't care for Forest Gump. Treasure of the Sierra Madre, but not The Maltese Falcon or The African Queen? And an absence of laugh-yourself-silly comedies?
But, overall, that's a list of very-good-to-great movies.
Any list that doesn't include THE FATAL GLASS OF BEER is meaningless anyway, but seriously: Were there any Disney films there? SNOW WHITE? BEAUTY & THE BEAST? And FerCryinOutLoud What about DUCK SOUP???

I had a feeling someone would disagree with FORREST GUMP.
Pretty good list-except Stars Wars 1V, Forrest Gump, Sound of Music.

You could also call this list "80 Films You've Probably Already Seen."
Yes, this is one of the few movie lists that I can say that about.
Bill – The number 80 made me laugh. Why not 100? Or 50? Or 45? Or 33 1⁄3?
Maybe 80 was all they could agree on.
Only 6 0f the 80 films are non-English language, and only 1 of the top 65. Rooting for the home team is fine but you can overdo it.

I've seen much worse lists. William Friedman's The Excorcist should be on there, and Brazil and Network should be higher.
