The stateroom scene alone is worth the price of admission. And I love Margaret Dumond. Groucho said she never realized she was acting in a comedy and that's why her responses are so hilarious, but I prefer to believe she was in on the joke.
/Dumbest comment in this history of (non-political) commenting: "Is that the same Kitty Carlisle who was on What's My Line? Wow--she used to be hot...what happened?" What happened? Like all of us, she got old, dumb-ass!

That's also my prime rule, and I'm pretty good at following it. I almost never give in.
Dumont (kittenish after a Groucho kiss): You make me think of my youth.
Groucho: Really? He must be a big boy by now.

I remember the first time when I saw Groucho thinking how much to keep and how much to pay Allan Jones, finally offering him ... $25 a day.
I never, ever read the comments.
Frankly I was disappointed after the surreal anarchy of their Paramount films to see the Marx Brothers domesticated at MGM.
A minority view, but I shall wait for Fashion and critical consensus to catch up with me.
Well, it was no Duck Soup.
Total agreement, Dan. I think Duck Soup was a much better, funnier movie. Did people really enjoy those piano and harp solos?
And Margaret Dumont is in Duck Soup!
