I've read two of them, one just last week.
I've read five.
Only 4 for me.
I was surprised SHANE wasn't on the list.
Probably not classy enough.
Red Sky at Morning Laughing Boy Dance Hall of the Dead Little Big Man Lonesome Dove
Same except omit Laughing Boy.
0. Yesterday I finished WEST TEXAS by Al Sarrantonio.
I have not read any of these he suggests. I have read all of his Kevin Kerney mysteries. Good stuff.
We had to read Laughing Boy in high school. It was about as light a read as Giants in the Earth. Well, maybe a little lighter.
I would have chosen Blood Meridian and Warlock over a couple of these.
Haven't read a single one of 'em. Ben wasting my time with THE BIG SKYTHE LAST HUNTTHE HELL-BENT KIDTHE SEARCHERSTHE AUTHENTIC DEATH OF HENDRY JONESSAINT JOHNSONetc. etc....
Missing Glendon Swarthout's The Shootist.
Riders of the Purple Sage? The Virginian?I guess they're too old to mention...
For that matter, True Grit?
