The legend I heard about Trollope is that he wrote on long rolls of paper and that when he'd some to the end of one novel, he'd heave a sigh, draw a line across the page, and start another novel.
And remember--much of the time he was writing he was also emotes full time by the British civil service, so he had to write in the mornings and evenings.

I like King's essays--it's a shame I just can't get into his fiction.
/Also prolific and very good: Anthony Trollope and Balzac (drinker of 50 cups of coffee a day to stay awake for writing).

emotes = employed
/stupid autocorrect!
He may have been doing a little emoting on the side.
And let's not forget his mother the author. She was quite a character in her own way.
