The thrill is gone. Today it will have to be PC. No hitting, poking eyes, no name calling-nitwit, knucklehead, imbecile, etc. In this century Moe would be considered a bully. Can't have that. He won't be able to say "I'll murder ya!" That would invoke violence in today's youth. Curley will not be able to say, "Oh boy! I can see it now...I come home from a hard day's work...I whistle for the dog....and my wife comes out!" That is sexist...
Like Moe said in one of the Shorts, "Our genius ain't appreciated around here... let's scram!"
I'm not a fan because, ya know, I'm the female of the species, but I heartily concur with August's comments. The Three Stooges are so much of their time, I can't even imagine them transposed to the 21st century. I suppose now every episode will be wrapped up with a "what we learned from this" lesson. As my kids would say, I can't even with this.

Will the desecrations never cease?

I have a feeling you're right.
