Off the Grid
I'm posting this a day in advance because I'm off the grid today. Really. Things will continue as usual here, but I won't be responding to comments or e-mail. Can I really go a whole day with no Internet? I'll find out. I'll have my phone with me, but I won't have time to check things. I should be back online tomorrow if all goes well.

I'd say you're not too off the grid if you have a phone signal, checking it or not. I guess you meant "away from a computer." Anyway have fun in the woods or out fishing or whatever....
I'm back on the grid a bit early. All is well, Kevin. Rick, where I was (my hometown and Judy's hometown) have iffy phone service, it any. In fact, while I was in Judy's hometown, I wasn't getting a connection at all most of the time. I couldn't even check my e-mail. Of course when I bought the phone, the Verizon folks promised I'd have full coverage: "You can even watch YouTube videos." Hahahahaha!
Glad all is well. Clearly you were off the grid.
Where my Mom's house is in Dallas, my son can get no service via his T-Mobile deal. He can do nothing. Very strange and annoying. He also very often has no service down at Medical City Dallas Hospital.
