1. STAYING ALIVE. As a huge fan of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, Jackie had to see this. Yikes, it was bad. The one thing I remember was Stallone's Hithcock-like walk through. 5. MONKEY SHINES. Didn't we discuss this the other day? I don't remember the details, fortunately. 14. XANADU. Yes it sucked, but it was turned into an amazingly fun and entertaining off-Broadway musical in 2008. 18. FACE/OFF. I like the "overact as if their lives depend on it" line. 23. DEEP BLUE SEA. Come on, this was a classic! And anyone who didn't want to see Saffron Burrows - surely one of the smuggest, most annoying actresses ever - eaten by a shark is watching the wrong movie. One thing I remember is the cast did NOT get eaten in the order you'd expect. 26. ROAD HOUSE. As the quote says, "awesome" is the word. In a just world this would have swept the Oscars. I still remember Ben Gazzara's monster truck with the four foot high wheels. 27. CON AIR. Are they kidding? This was the best. It was also in Cage's best period, when he followed up his Oscar win with THE ROCK, CON AIR and FACE/OFF. He is the KING of this list.
I like Saffron Burrows. I can think of far more smug and annoying actresses, and quite a few less talented. I liked her in LAW AND ORDER: VERY: TALL COPS and I like her MOZART IN THE JUNGLE. And you codgers get off my lawn.

Nic is the King, all right. And I agree about DEEP BLUE SEA.
