I must be tired because my first thought when I glanced down at the chart (before reading the accompanying text) was, wow this sure had a lot of typos in it.
Here is the NYC top 10 of 3/31/65 (my senior year in high school):
1 2 I’M TELLING YOU NOW - Freddie & The Dreamers 2 1 STOP! IN THE NAME OF LOVE - The Supremes 3 6 GAME OF LOVE - Wayne Fontana & The Mindbenders 4 4 NOWHERE TO RUN - Martha & The Vandellas 5 5 KING OF THE ROAD - Roger Miller 6 7 CAN’T YOU HEAR MY HEARTBEAT - Herman’s Hermits 7 8 SHOTGUN - Jr. Walker & The All Stars 8 3 GOLDFINGER - Shirley Bassey 9 11 I KNOW A PLACE - Petula Clark 10 28 GO NOW! - The Moody Blues
I believe I had 45s of all of them. I was a big fan of "Go Now" at the time.
Here's a real NY story - "The Mouse" by Soupy Sales was #11, up from 25 the previous week.

I'm not fond of April Fool's pranks. This list is a good reason why I'm not.

Gotta love "The Mouse." I remember seeing The Moody Blues do "Go Now" on SHINDIG. Or I think I do.
