As usual, Rich's lack of comprehensive experience tells...while they were usually put together haphazardly, not all the Ultimate reprint magazines were bad...though that was the way to bet it.
Some are useful piles of Gernsback and Sloane-era stories (even more useful when issued), and some manage to concentrate on the decent years of ZD FANTASTIC & AMAZING.

I never owned one. I see them on eBay often, but I figure they're not worth the investment.

SF GREATS was similarly pretty solid.
