Walt Kelley's POGO is an amazingly erudite thing, with references to Burns, Goethe, Shakespeare and Khayyam to name just a few. And it's also screamingly funny!
I re-read I GO POGO every four years to remind myself nothing has changed in more than half a century.

I have that Pogo book, did as a kid, and loved this song! There was a record, too.
