Wow - I hadn't realized "Ringo" made it to #1 on Billboard. Pretty hard to believe.

Here is the NYC top 10 for 12/2/64. "Ringo" was only #12, by the way.

1 7 I FEEL FINE / SHE’S A WOMAN - The Beatles
2 6 SHE’S NOT THERE - The Zombies
3 8 COME SEE ABOUT ME - The Supremes
4 1 GOIN’ OUT OF MY HEAD - Little Anthony & The Imperials
5 4 MY LOVE, FORGIVE ME (Amore, Scusami) - Robert Goulet
6 9 MR. LONELY - Bobby Vinton
7 3 BABY LOVE - The Supremes
8 5 TIME IS ON MY SIDE - The Rolling Stones
9 10 I’M INTO SOMETHING GOOD - Herman’s Hermits
10 2 WALKING IN THE RAIN - The Ronettes

I checked back and "Ringo" topped out at #9 in New York.

For me Lorne Greene's career high point was playing Ava Gardner's father in EARTHQUAKE, even though they were less than a decade apart in age.

You New Yorkers had good taste.

However, you still have Robert Goulet in the top 5.

I mentioned before that Bonanza is on the back of Ringo. I can't remember the lyrics to Ringo, but I know every word of Bonanza.

/Hoss and Joe and Adam know
Every rock and pine.
No one works, fights, and eats
Like those boys of mine.

//Sing it, Lorne!

Wow, Deb. I am impressed. All I remember is the chorus "Bo-NAN-za!").

He lay face down in the desert sand
Clutching his six-gun in his hand
Shot from behind, I thought he was dead
But under his heart was an ounce of lead
But a spark still burned so I used my knife
And late that night, I saved the life of Ringo
