Coincidently, this article was linked on Longform this week. I can't say what is sadder--that a man spent over $2 million on a bunch of meth-head grifters in an unsuccessful attempt to murder his wife or that the couple's kids have turned against their victimized mother and support their jailbird father 100%. I had heard about these. The Texas Cheerleader mother had a movie and I read about Lobster Man and the Brazilian TV host.
