This is my favorite du Maurier novel--in fact, it's one of my favorite novels period. I think it was the subject of the first FFB review I wrote for Patti's blog. The narrative structure is very complex--it has three narrators, but you're never sure which one is "talking." It's also a time-capsule of England and the Continent between the wars and shortly thereafter.
