Excuse me, but there's nothing remotely embarrassing about THE LITTLE GIRL WHO LIVES DOWN THE LANE. Besides, it wasn't Foster's screen debut by a mile - it was her fourth big role in 1976 alone, the previous ones being TAXI DRIVER, BUGSY MALONE and FREAKY FRIDAY.

Seems to me she was in movies several years earlier.
