I've always found that the be one of the most incredible and mid blowing coincidences of all time: John Adams and Thomas Jefferson not only died on the same day but it was the 50th Anniversary of the (official) signing of the Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1826,

I mean, what are the odds?

I've always thought there was something fishy about that.

Not just C.S. Lewis, Aldous Huxley also died the day JFK was assassinated.

Here is an actual telephone conversation between my husband and me one afternoon in June of 2009:

Husband: Did you hear who died?

Me: Oh yeah, Farrah Fawcett--it's been on the news.

Husband: You haven't had the TV on recently, have you?

Me: No. How did you know?

Farrah was the more important of the two to me.

Sergei Prokofiev, March 5, 1953. Same day as Stalin's death was announced, so one of the great 20th Century composers didn't get the ink he deserved in Pravda.
