Worst combo ever: we went to see Steve Martin just before he really hit it big. He was opening for Andy Williams.
There were a handful of us with arrows through our heads in a sea of Andy's fans. And yes, we left after a little of him singing the "Theme From Rocky (Gotta Fly Now)."
Stage clothes were tax deductible, but only if they could not be expected to be worn elsewhere. The result was some rather interesting outfits, to say the least. I'd say ABBA dressed rather modestly by comparison.

Great double bill!

I would've loved to have seen that show.
Two different dates on one marquee, so--meh. It doesn't come close to Jimi Hendrix opening for the Monkees or the Beastie Boys opening for Madonna.
/I bet Merle woulda kicked Johnny Rotten's butt!

You missed "Moon River"?
And "Theme from Love Story"?
Ha. I'll tell you - when AC/DC first played in Sweden, on July 16, 1976...

(Bill: note the ABBA connection)
ABBA connection noted. And you gotta admit that Jigs really knew how to dress. (But then so did ABBA.)
