Tremors, absolutely. Zardoz, not on your life. Evil Dead 2, yes; Buckaroo Banzai, not so much. Repo Man was a true classic, the role Harry Dean Stanton was born to play. Eraserhead gave me a massive headache.
I loved Tremors. Could never sit through Zardoz or Eraserhead. Loved Repo Man, but then I also loved Buckaroo Banzai (maybe because of the time and place).
Certainly, "Big Trouble …" is my favorite. Practically all the actors (including the non-speaking ones) were "over-the-top" all the time, which is exactly what is required in this comedy.
The biggest timewasters for me here were ALTERED STATES (very annoying at the time, at least) and I've managed to suppress the other one...but I imagine that had I sat through SHARKTOPUS I might cite that one as well...while I found ZARDOZ pretty funny, which I do think was the intent. I suspect I'm one of the few who look at this blog who's seen BORN IN FLAMES, in a theater no less.
I suspect I'd like the novel THE WARRIORS better, because the utter ineptitude of the gangs as portrayed in the film as serious threat or metaphor (at least for me, clearly) would presumably be lessened...

Oh, yes, THE WARRIORS. Witless in a way that REPO MAN, DEATH RACE 2000 and BIG TROUBLE definitely aren't.
Didn't see Born in in Flames in a theater or elsewehre. Did see The Warriors in a theater and liked it. Even read the book later on.

The book is quite a bit different from the movie.
