Great interview! Not sure I learned much but it was great. My favorite line has to be: He did teach English at the college level for a while, but Anna Nicole wasn’t in his class.
Yeah, Buddy Holly, he'll live forever in our memories. I have most of his hits, but every so often I hear one on XM that I don't have. A shame he died so young.
But can you play the banjolele? I have to say there were no new revelations in this interview for me. I just wish you'd mentioned the torrid affair with Grace Kelly before you met Judy.
You were right, the banjolele was news to me. You do know that the instrument figures prominently in Wodehouse's novel, Thank You Jeeves? In the Fry-Laurie BBC adaptation, they changed it to a trombone, which I thought a sacrilege. Art Scott

I'll bet you didn't know about the banjolele.

So now we know why other groups don’t attempt to copy the G-Strings’ unique style; they don’t have a banjolele player.

No, I did not know about the banjolele. In fact, I've never heard of a banjolele before.

I do indeed have fond memories of Bertie's banjolele. I have a feeling he could play it a lot better than I can play mine.
