I have this one and the original paperback in the 1950s - the one I first read as a teenager. What a great read! I also have the Astounding issues and this great cover. Fred Cook, who published the fanzine BRONZE SHADOWS, had a large poster of this cover hanging on the wall in his office. The movie was awful, however.
I first encountered this in Astounding Science Fiction with that cover image. I also have the paperback and it's collected in one of the NESFA books too.

Haven't seen the movie. Probably just as well.
