Of course none of these existed or were popular (yep, there were torn jeans, but no one wore them to school) in the late 1950s and early 1060s when I was in high school. The banned items then were bubble gum, pants with no belt, dyed hair, too-short skirts (a couple inches above the knee was the limit, I think). Spit wads, cigarettes in the bathroom, car racing in front of the school were the big no-nos.
