Lists like this never please everyone so I won't go on too long. His second place is awesome, much better than first. I've wondered about noir songs; the theme from Peter Gunn comes to mind, dark, dramatic and mysterious.
I know "Chinatown" is really too late to be considered true "noir," but the poster--where Faye Dunaway's face is emerging from the smoke of Jack Nicholson's cigarette--is fabulously noir.
I would choose "Gilda" as the number one poster--that image is so iconic.

I'll agree with This Gun for Hire and Sunset Blvd., but not the rest.

Liked the composition analyses. Hadn't seen the posters for Pickup & Kiss of Death before. Now they're my favorite noir posters.
Thanks for the link Bill, and the comments from your readers!
