Last night, I happened to come across the dictionary entry for spotted dick. It said it was also called spotted dog. I wonder how many people that would please.
BTW, there was no visual verification today. Instead, "Listen and type the numbers you hear." Kind of difficult. A loud hubbub of German and English (I think) random words, with a few numbers here and there. Weird. And I flunked, so back to visual.
I haven't encountered the audio verification. I hope I never do.
I have a childhood memory of watching "The Galloping Gourmet" (in the days before he stopped drinking) when he made this dish--and, even to my innocent ears, the double entendres were flying fast and furious.
