Deathstalker

According to IMDB, this was one of only three theatrically released movies that Barbi Benton made. I suspect that 99 percent of guys 55 and older know who Barbi was, and 0 percent of those under 55. The Deathstalker movies were the equivalent of those late '60s/early '70s Conan pb knockoff novels, mindless time-killers. Nice scenery from Barbi and the late Lana Clarkson in #1, Monique Gabrielle in #2, Terri Treas in #3, and Maria Ford in #4. Posters and/or video box cover art by Boris Vallejo for all four movies. #2 in the series with John ("Z-Man") Lazar as the villain was a flat-out parody, #1,3, and 4 were a little more straight-faced.

I remember Barbi Benton. I also remember the first Deathstalker taking itself extremely seriously. The following films (yeah, we watched all of these in a marathon back in college) realized they were bad, and gloried in it.

that maneuver he did?....where he was up at the top of the bendy pole?... holding on with his hands and his body was straight out like a flag?....and he was traveling around and around in a circle like on the paralell bars except sideways like he was doing? and stuff?....i've done that same thing in combat many times. it's a sure-fire enemy-buster.
